Our company

nolte - The multi-talented furniture manufacturer

The Nolte family has been manufacturing furniture since the 1930’s. The two furniture factories were followed by the first chipboard factory in 1947. Production of kitchen furniture began shortly afterwards in Löhne. With sales of over € 500 million and 3,000 employees, the Nolte Group is one of Europe’s leading furniture manufacturers and is still in family ownership - now in the fourth generation. Today, the group also includes Nolte Holding, Nolte Möbel Germersheim, Nolte Küchen, CS Schmal, Drum, as well as Nolte Holzwerkstoff.

We are proud that the fourth generation is already successfully involved in the company. This is possible because we have always reflected traditional German virtues in the management of our company and have made far-sighted, anti-cyclical investments in our business. It also means we have a business response to maintain our company’s position in the globalised future.

A tradition of innovation.

We realised at an early stage that only exclusively designed furniture of the highest quality can be supplied from Germany. Consequently we have focused on achieving these standards and our success has grown from year to year around the world. As an innovator in the sector, we are a key figure in setting new market trends - we manufacture our products according to the highest environmental standards and using the latest technologies.

Rheinspan: Over 1,500 m³ chipboard per day - advanced technology in operation

Top quality, manufactured using a pioneering, closed production cycle - minimal resource consumption and environmentally sound (according to EMAS II). Around-the-clock, the state-of-the-art chipboard systems manufacture products with a maximum size of 7.50 x 2.62 m, which are subsequently cut to the specified customer dimensions. The largest coating press in Europe, directly fed by a melamine paper roll, is used for further finishing. The Nolte Group can look back on more than fifty years of experience in chipboard manufacturing, making it the oldest privately owned chipboard manufacturer in the world.

Quality is our response

To meet the ever growing needs of the market for quality, finishes and optimised cutting dimensions, we offer products in pioneering widths both for raw chipboard and melamine-coated boards. At the same time, the highest priority was given to being able to adjust the lengths of the individual products as required.

Our aim is - and will continue to be - to offer each customer the best possible solutions in terms of quality, finish, punctuality and reliability. These include

  • complete supply of factories with coated and uncoated boards,
  • Just in Time and Just in Sequence deliveries or
  • special qualities, e.g. for computer stands or the logistics sector
