Chipboard production in 4th generation of family
Whether for kitchen interiors, the floors of logistics centres, door interior cores, office furniture or exhibition stand construction – it would be difficult to imagine the furniture industry without this multi-faceted and flexible building material. Nolte Holzwerkstoff develops and produces chipboard under the brand name "Rheinspan" for many diverse customer requirements. With over 65 years of experience in design, construction and finishing, we (almost) always find a solution – and we take pride in that. Along with our long-standing customers hailing from various industries and trades, we gladly draft joint designs for customised chipboard that meets the individual requirements.
While carrying out our work, we lay a great deal of importance in the responsible dealing with the renewable raw material wood. That is why we work exclusively with woods grown using sustainable forestry methods and only buy high-quality raw materials originating from the local region. Our environmental management system has been EMAS certified since 1997.
Although Nolte Holzwerkstoff has been actively manufacturing at our Germersheim site since 1973, our first chipboard was actually produced in 1951 in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany. In 2016, Nolte Holzwerkstoff separated from the Nolte SE group of companies and has operated autonomously ever since under the direct management of the Nolte family. The family-owned company is now in its fourth generation of management and employs approximately 200 employees. Nolte Holzwerkstoff is a member in the Association of the German Wood-Based Panel Industry (Verband der deutschen Holzwerkstoffindustrie e. V. or abbr. VHI) and participates via an active board member.
